After Chapel

Nodding with a grim look, he nudged her gently towards the door.

Haley walked towards the door and quickly stepped back into the library. "Any idea what that might have been?"

He pulled the door closed shut behind them and run a hand through his hair, trying to push the sound of whispered voices from his head. "I have no idea but I'm going to find out."

"Can I help?" Haley asked and blushed, "I mean,if you don't mind. I'm kind of into that type of thing."

He looked at her for a moment before shrugging. "If you want. I'm just going to start by looking up the history of the building and the books." If he could find anything on the books...

"The history's easy." Haley said, "The school was built in 1843 by a man named Charles Wolfram. The books were definitely donated, but they came from strange benefactors." She looked at him with a grin, "I may have done some of my own research."

He got a wide grin, an eyebrow raising. "Done some digging, have you?"

Haley smiled sweetly, "Being SGA president has its advantages. I get access to all the school's archives."

"I'd imagine," he said with a laugh. "Did they list the people who donated the books?"

"Most of them said anonymous." She said with a shrug, "But I have someone that's looking into who exactly the donations were made by."

"Well then you've left me at a loss," he laughed, putting on a touch of a teasing frown. "What's left for me to research?"

Haley shrugged and smiled, "Well, you could always be my wing man. It'll be nice to have someone to research with."

He nodded with a smile. "Sounds good to me. Plus I've got my own sources I can check."

Haley grinned eagerly, "What are these sources that you speak of? Lord knows I've exhausted my own."

He tilted his head to the side for a moment and tried to think about how he could describe Cam. "An Irishman who knows 'a little bit everything about a little a bit of everything'," he quoted.

Haley's jaw dropped, "Does he watch soap operas and is he kind of off the wall?"

He raised an eyebrow. "Kind of off the wall... That's putting it kind of mild for Cam, isn't it?" Shaking his head, Jack laughed. "How do you know the great Irish vampire?"

Haley shrugged and closed the door, "I was looking for answers and someone mentioned his name. He's fun. I like talking to him."

"He's a character all right," Jack agreed. "And the man knows his shit... I mean, stuff." Damn. "So you asked him about the books?"

Haley nodded, "Yeah. He doesn't know much. I'll tell him about the whispers." She shuddered at the thought.

He frowned when she mentioned the whispers because part of him had wanted to stay and see what came of them. "Would you mind if I went in again? Later, I mean. With a recorder."

Haley hesitated before nodding, "That's fine. I think I can get some recording stuff from the theatre. We have bunches of that stuff."

"You don't have to go in if you don't want to," he said quickly. He actually would rather she didn't go in; she seemed nervous regardless and he didn't want to put her back in that room.

Haley shook her head, "No, I want to. It'll be fine. I mean, my curiosity is peaked now. I have to find out."

"Where in the theater is the recording equipment?"
